Comprehensive Pain Management Services for South Beach Residents
Our practice offers a wide range of services designed to target and alleviate various types of pain. From osteoarthritis of the hip to hip bursitis and sympathetic pain, we utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques to pinpoint the source of your discomfort. We treat pelvic pain, abdominal pain, tailbone pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, neck pain, hand and wrist pain, lower back pain, and more.
We understand that each patient’s experience with musculoskeletal issues is unique. That’s why we focus on personalized care plans that address individual needs – whether you’re dealing with cervical spine issues or conditions affecting the thoracic spine or lumbar spine.
Innovative Treatment Options at NY Pain Solutions
Our interventional techniques include cutting-edge procedures like Stellate Ganglion Block for sympathetic mediated pain and Lumbar Sympathetic Block for complex regional pain syndromes. For coccydynia or tailbone pain sufferers, a Ganglion Impar block may offer significant relief.
We also specialize in regenerative medicine treatments such as Trigger Point Injections With Platelets Rich Plasma to promote healing in damaged tissues. For those seeking alternatives to traditional painkiller medications, we offer Medical Marijuana consultations and Anesthesia services for more invasive procedures.
Our use of Ultrasound-Guided Trigger Point Injections ensures precision in treating affected areas like shoulder joints and hip joints. Similarly, Ultrasound-Guided Tendon Injections provide targeted relief for hand and wrist or foot and ankle joint pains.
Advanced Surgical Interventions for Chronic Pain
For patients requiring surgical intervention, we offer minimally invasive options like Vertiflex for lumbar spinal stenosis or RACZ Caudal Neurolysis for scar tissue-related nerve entrapment. Percutaneous Discectomy can be a solution for herniated discs causing sciatica or low back pain.
Our expertise extends to Spinal cord stimulator implantation for chronic radiculopathy or peripheral neuropathy conditions such as diabetic neuropathy. And when conservative measures fail to provide relief for fat pad atrophy of the foot, we explore innovative solutions tailored to your specific needs.
Diagnostic Excellence in Pain Management
Accurate diagnosis is key in developing effective treatment plans. Our facility is equipped with EMG/NCS (Electromyography) technology to assess nerve function accurately. This allows us to diagnose conditions like cervical radiculopathy precisely and tailor interventions such as Transforaminal epidurals accordingly.
We also perform Facet injections and Radiofrequency ablations for chronic neck and back pain management. Sacroiliac injections are available for those suffering from sacroiliac joint dysfunction – a common cause of lower back pain.

What Our Customers Say
I come here with some neck and back issues for Pain management. The wait room is very small so they only sit patients in the main area. The family is expected to sit in another area. The wait time is so long for injections. Be prepared to spend most of your day there on an empty stomach. Dr Sekhar is the best. He consults you and answers any concerns you may have. After the procedure, they give you little juices. After sitting for awhile the doctor comes and evaluates your pain to see if the injection worked. You make your follow up appointment and you're done.

I saw Dr.Kogan at Pain Solutions for my spinal stenosis. He administered epidurals with anesthesia, so Dr. Sekhar had to work on that which meant I had 2 md's billing. Oddly enough, when I received the same epidural from Dr. Kogan at his other location (NYU Langone - Forest Hills) where Dr. Sekhar did not practice, Dr. Kogan administered the epidural by himself without the use of anesthesia. There were no problem, and since there was no anesthesia to recover from, I was free to leave right away. I submitted my insurance information but they did not bother to get clearance. It turns out my insurance was only accepted at the NYU-Langone location. But I never received a bill.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
- What qualifications should I look for in an interventional pain management doctor?
- FAQ Answer: Look for a board-certified interventional pain management specialist with experience in treating your specific type of pain. They should have completed a residency in pain medicine, anesthesia, or neurology, followed by a fellowship in pain management. Additionally, check for state licensure and consider their approach to patient care, including the use of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
- How does an interventional pain management doctor differ from other pain specialists?
- FAQ Answer: An interventional pain management doctor uses minimally invasive techniques such as nerve blocks, steroid injections, and advanced procedures like spinal cord stimulation to treat pain. Unlike other specialists who may focus on medication management or physical therapy, interventional specialists are trained to perform procedures that directly target the source of pain.
- What conditions do interventional pain management doctors treat?
- FAQ Answer: These specialists treat a variety of conditions, including chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), neuropathic pain, and more. They often treat patients for whom conservative treatments have failed to provide adequate relief.
- What should I expect during my first visit to an interventional pain management practice?
- FAQ Answer: During your first visit, the doctor will review your medical history, perform a physical examination, and may order diagnostic tests such as MRIs or X-rays. They will discuss your pain symptoms, previous treatments, and how the pain affects your daily life. Then, they will outline a personalized treatment plan.
- How do I prepare for a procedure with an interventional pain management doctor?
- FAQ Answer: Preparation may include fasting for a certain period before the procedure, temporarily stopping certain medications, and arranging for transportation home. Your doctor will provide specific instructions based on the procedure you're undergoing. Always inform your doctor of all medications and supplements you're taking.
- Will my insurance cover visits to an interventional pain management doctor?
- FAQ Answer: Many insurance plans cover interventional pain management treatments, but coverage varies depending on the specific procedure and your insurance policy. Prior to your visit, check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage, and confirm with the pain management practice if they accept your insurance.
