What Is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is musculoskeletal pain today remains an accepted medical condition that is still poorly understood.

Symptoms of fibromyalgia include vague distribution of pain along the outside of joints or tendons exacerbated by poor sleeping patterns, increased risk of depression, chronic fatigue, and vague symptoms of restless leg syndrome, urine or bladder disorders.
The diagnosis of fibromyalgia revolves around eliminating other more common specific causes of pain.
Fibromyalgia is prevalent in up to 2% of the population.
Treatment options revolve around proper diet, weight loss, exercise, and activity, hydrotherapy, chiropractor treatment. Non-traditional medicine (acupuncture and herbs) were successfully used to treat this condition.
Pharmacological options include medications such as pregabalin and gabapentin, amitriptyline, Cymbalta, Savella. Use of medical marijuana was noted to be very beneficial in treatment fibromyalgia.
Local focal trigger points can be treated with injections and physical therapy.
